REFERENCE 1: By Anna, General Manager of a Multinational company's China operation.

Approximately how long did it take to get your company to registered in China from first contact with approval to “Path to China” to proceed?

It would be more appropriate to work from the time you provided all the required document to registration. This took about two months. Our first contact was in September and we did take some time to digest all the information and sourced all the documents.

If you had to do this process again - would you use “Path to China” and why?

Yes, definitely. Mr. Li and his staff are most helpful. Mr. Li was able to answer any questions that we had or concerns and explain them well.

Did you find the overall process reasonably easy and straight forward as presented by “Path to China”? Did they help facilitate the process on your behalf completing forms etc. or simply provide a set of steps to follow?

Yes, they took care of everything. What is important is that you have to ask all the questions so that you have a full understanding of what is involved. All them major legal documents that you sign for the registration have the English version provided by Path to China

Did “Path to China” follow up on a regular basis, and steer you through the “red tape” in a simple and clear way?

The was not red tape to be experienced in the process as Path to China handles all the proceedings. What is a bit bureaucratic is when you go and set up your bank account. It is important that the bank you choose have personnel that speaks fluent English and can explain all the requirements. For this I mean really fluent English just conversational English is not enough as they make certain assumptions that you will do as you are told rather than explain the process so that you understand what you are need to do as it involves so many kinds of chops/stamps (company, personal, financial, invoice chops/stamps).

Were they sensitive to your time frame?

Yes - in fact everything for our case went very smoothly and faster than anticipated. I guess this owed to the fact that we take care to provide all the documents to Mr. Li as requested. (or in the manner as requested with the proper endorsements etc.)

What was the biggest “added value” provided by “Path to China in your opinion? Did you have a company employee in China at the time your firm was being registered? If so were they involved in the registration process?

Mr. Li is very down to earth and you can speak frankly with him regarding any concerns that you might have. As we also use his other services such as accounts and payroll, he was also able to give us advice on such matters.

Were there any major issues or problems you in countered with the overall process, or with “Path to China” specifically?

No.

REFERENCE 2:

We are a Dutch company and we are about to enter the Chinese market. We find our cooperation with PTC very successful. At the beginning we needed a little time to get acquitant with each other. We have worked (and still do so) with PTC in Beijing.

Since we as owners of the business are not always in Beijing PTC takes things out of our hands. In this case Gifty Jia executes this with speed, care, eye for detail and integrity. If things needed to be smoothed out, it was not a problem to sit down together at PTC’s office and get aligned again.

PTC helps us also with issues as banking, offices, and administration and accounting services. We are very much satisfied with their services and we will certainly extend our cooperation with PTC for opening other offices this year.

If you had to do this process again - would you use “Path to China” and why?

Did you find the overall process reasonably easy and straight forward as presented by “Path to China”? Did they help facilitate the process on your behalf completing forms etc. or simply provide a set of steps to follow?

Yes. They even helped my created my Chinese company name using suitable Chinese characters that matched the sound of the English name.

Did “Path to China” follow up on a regular basis, and steer you through the “red tape” in a simple and clear way?

Yes, they would find solutions to overcome barriers.

Were they sensitive to your time frame?

YES

What was the biggest “added value” provided by “Path to China in your opinion? Did you have a company employee in China at the time your firm was being registered? If so were they involved in the registration process?

I work from home so I do not have a office address. It is mandatory to operte from an officially recognized office space. They found a business park that would provide the relevant papers so I could have an official office address. There was a small problem - when the time came from my company to start issuing official receipts, there was a minor issue with the address and so Path To China came up with an alternative solution that solved the problem.

Were there any major issues or problems you in countered with the overall process, or with “Path to China” specifically?

No.

Approximately how long did it take to get your company to registered in China from first contact with approval to “Path to China” to proceed?

Early in the process, we were given a list of documents that we need to apply as well as the timetable. The timetable given to us is very accurate and we feel that “Path to China” is very experienced in registering a company in China. There is no negative surprise at all during the process, the process is very smooth.

If you had to do this process again - would you use “Path to China” and why?

Did you find the overall process reasonably easy and straight forward as presented by “Path to China”? Did they help facilitate the process on your behalf completing forms etc. or simply provide a set of steps to follow?

Yes. “Path to China” did many extra things to make sure we don’t encounter any problem in opening the company in China. One example, since we cannot speak Mandarin, Ms. Wendy Wang agreed to come with us to the bank to help us opening the bank account for our company. Everything was well prepared by “Path to China” that we don’t have to worry about anything.

Did “Path to China” follow up on a regular basis, and steer you through the “red tape” in a simple and clear way?

“Path to China” always updated us on the progress. We were never in a lost in terms of where we are in the registration process. Communication with us is excellent. They also advised us on the practical things, making the whole process easy for us to go by.

Were they sensitive to your time frame?

Yes, when we told them that we need to complete the company registration by such time, they really took that into their consideration and advised us to prepare some documents in advance to speed-up the process.

What was the biggest “added value” provided by “Path to China in your opinion? Did you have a company employee in China at the time your firm was being registered? If so were they involved in the registration process?

The biggest ‘added value’ is that “Path to China” take the hassle out of us in registering the company. Registering company in China is a complex process - lots of documents and Government agencies need to be contacted. However, we always feel that “Path to China” always hold our hands in the process and really make the process easy, not frustrating at all, and smooth. We contribute this to large extent the work of Ms. Wendy Wang. She is the Business Registration Manager who oversaw the process on daily basis. We really recommend her.

Were there any major issues or problems you in countered with the overall process, or with “Path to China” specifically?

Not at all. I recommend strongly whoever wants to register a company in China to use “Path to China”. They not only helping you complete the business registration process, but also will provide you with accounting, tax and visa process. So it’s really a one-stop shop and it is a very good one.
